10274 Fire Escape - 02/13 (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM)



Sometimes a pattern comes along at just the right time to inspire you. Such is the case with Fire Escape from Atkinson Designs. This is a simple, but visually exciting design created with double four patch blocks and rectangles. So easy, so much fun, you might make more than one! Beginners who can rotary cut are welcome as well as all of you who want to whip up a quick exciting quilt. Pattern required.

Fabric:
This quilt can be made in three sizes or anywhere in between if you wish. The fabric requirements for each of the sizes is given in the pattern instructions and I have also listed them below: 

Lap size (60” x 72”) Five different fabrics—one yd. of each—contrast fabric for four patches - 5/8 yd.
Twin size (72” x 90”) Six different fabrics—1 1⁄4 yds. of each—contrast fabric for four patches - 3/4 yd. 
Queen size (96” x 102”) Eight different fabrics---1 3/8 yds. of each—contrast fabric for four patches - 1 yd. 

Notions:
Pins
Fabric scissors
Seam ripper
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat
24” x 6” acrylic ruler
Smaller acrylic ruler for cutting four patches (optional)
Scotch tape or stapler for attaching swatches to the pattern
Paper for labeling blocks


Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate and Advance
Requirements: Must know how to use a sewing machine and a rotary cutter
